Located in central San Diego County, City heights is situated south of Interstate 8, east of Interstate 15, and falls within the 92105 Zip code. The community is elevated 400 feet above sea level at the eastern end of Mission Valley. City Heights is a diverse and well-established community that has about 25,000 households, and a population of around 66,000 residents.

For the last ten years, City Heights has been undergoing a renaissance. Some of the more recent additions to the community include an Imax theater, a new transportation center for alternative-fuel vehicles, and a transit plaza. The community also has a new recreation center that contains playgrounds, picnic areas, multipurpose athletic fields, a gymnasium, tennis courts, craft and ceramic rooms, a mini kitchen and a full-sized swimming pool.

The community’s infrastructure has also seen development. The award-winning City Heights “Urban Village” is an innovative project that has taken the community to new heights. Under this project, the community now houses a new police substation, a library, elementary school, a community college, a community service center, a shopping center and much more.

The real estate in City Heights mainly consists of older single-family homes, apartments, condos and townhouses. There are also several new developments within the community. In particular, the joint efforts of the City of San Diego, Price Charities, and the San Diego State University, have helped the community to grow in a phased manner.
